Hungary D‑Type Visa Process 2026 – Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Holders

All students of the autumn semester 2026/2027 can submit their D‑type visa applications starting from 8 June 2026.

Only Jordanian citizens (Ordinary and T‑passport) can book appointments directly through the consulate.

Students with other citizenships (including Yemenis and Syrians) must apply through VFS:

# ⭐ SECTION 1 — FOR STUDENTS APPLYING **DIRECTLY AT THE EMBASSY**

Essential Steps for Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Holders

1. Accept or Decline the Scholarship Offer

Applicants must accept (or decline) the scholarship offer in the DreamApply system. Host institutions can issue the “Letter of Admission” only after this step.

2. Send Required Documents by Email

Complete and sign the application form and appendix, then scan the form, passport copy, and all documents listed in Point 4.

  • Each document must be scanned separately and named properly.
  • Your name must appear in the email subject.
  • Send documents in separate emails if attachments are large.

Important: Do NOT book an appointment before sending all documents by email. Incomplete emails may be rejected and appointments may be cancelled.

4. Visit the Consulate with Original Documents

  • Letter of Award (Tempus Public Foundation)
  • Letter of Admission
  • Original valid passport
  • One passport photo (3.5 × 4.5 cm, white background)

  • English versions of all degrees (High School, BA/BSc, MA/MSc)
  • Proof of study language
  • Financial capability documents:
    • Certified bank statement (6 months)
    • Commitment letter from parent/guardian
    • Copy of sponsor’s passport/ID
  • Proof of family ties (Family Book)

Note: Students under 18 must be accompanied by both parents/legal guardians.

Visa Fee: Free for Stipendium Hungaricum students.
